The Norwegian Banks’ Guarantee Fund covers deposits held by individuals, corporations and associations in case of failure of a member bank.
The guarantee covers deposits in all member banks to a limit of two million Norwegian kroner per depositor per bank.

- If the deposit is made in the Norwegian operations of the bank, the coverage limit of 2 million Norwegian kroner applies to both Norwegian and foreign citizens and companies

- Credit institutions and financial institutions like other banks, payment companies, holding companies in financial groups, insurance companies, etc.

Member banks are obliged to mark deposits covered by the guarantee scheme, so it is always apparent which deposits are covered.
